Role Overview

Analyst, Global Corporate Banking – Join MUFG to support relationship managers, analyze business opportunities, manage deal processes, and contribute to global banking initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support RMs by providing day‑to‑day account management support as a secondary point of customer contact.
  • Assist the Canadian GRM team in expanding MUFG Canada’s market presence by analysing new business opportunities and prospective clients.
  • Prepare materials for and attend meetings with clients (CFOs, Treasurers, investment teams, etc.) to discuss periodic relationship updates, business development matters, and MUFG’s product capabilities.
  • Manage and monitor the end‑to‑end deal process for new and ongoing transactions:
    • Prepare deal screening memos and provide credit team support; coordinate with product and sponsor coverage groups to assist in transaction execution.
    • Execute operational duties related to credit transactions (loan documentation review, client onboarding, compliance with ongoing KYC requirements).
    • Liaise with overseas branches, middle‑ and back‑office, and planning teams.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for internal banking matters and MUFG’s global banking initiatives.
  • Oversee progress of local and global transactions, tracking credit exposures and revenues to maintain deal pipelines for Canada, the Americas and global levels.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of customer developments and market trends; provide value‑added information to initiate new business opportunities and client outreach.
Qualifications
  • Strong interpersonal, credit or financial analysis, and financial modelling skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook).
  • Proficiency in external research platforms (Bloomberg, Fact Set, etc.).
  • 1‑2 years of prior experience in finance/banking, credit, capital markets, or general financial analysis.
  • BCom/BBA or equivalent degree required.
  • CFA or CFP progress or completion (preferred).
