Role OverviewReporting to the Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), the Finance Manager requires a highly analytical individual with strong influencing skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. The successful candidate will provide actionable insights that support strategic decision‑making, build strong relationships across the organization, and balance the needs of senior and key stakeholders.
What You Will Do- Provide key analysis and insights to senior management to drive future‑oriented business decisions.
- Work effectively with stakeholders as part of the quarterly forecast cycles and annual planning cycle.
- Help shape the direction of Fidelity Canada’s long‑term business planning cycle.
- Take ownership of key areas of work and collaborate closely with other stakeholders.
- Lead efforts to advance transparency and executive‑level engagement across priority initiatives.
- Build effective and positive working relationships with key stakeholders and senior management.
- Support the team’s broader mandate by finding new and effective approaches to work (technological and transformational tools).
- University degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a financial analyst role within a finance department.
- Experience in financial analysis and modeling, reporting, budgeting and/or business planning.
- Knowledge of financial planning and analysis practices is an asset but not required.
- Familiarity with project management platforms and data analytics tools is considered an asset.
- Completion of or working toward a financial/accounting designation (e.g., CPA) and/or CFA or MBA is preferred.
- Excellent analysis and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to convey data and findings in an easy‑to‑understand format.
- Ability to leverage other resources (internal or otherwise).
- Strong communication and presentation skills (verbal, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively (storytelling, etc.).
- Skilled in planning projects, coordinating time requirements, and meeting deadlines.
- Thrives in a fast‑paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 products (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Advanced Excel capabilities for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience with workflow management and data automation tools is beneficial.
- Ability to establish effective business relationships across teams.
- Contributes to positive working relationships among team members and groups.
- Innovative and creative mindset for problem‑solving and process improvement.
- Comfortable working with all levels of the organization.
You will be working on a flexible hybrid schedule as part of Fidelity’s dynamic working arrangement.
