Position Details

Vacancy:
Posting is for an existing vacancy. Salary range: $73,000 – $87,000. Workplace type:
Hybrid (2 days/week in office). Candidates residing in the Greater Toronto Area will be considered and flexible work arrangements are possible.

Job Description

The Investment Analyst plays a critical role in the analysis of consumer complaints, which is integral to achieving fair and reasonable case resolutions. The Analyst conducts qualitative and quantitative analyses by assessing consumer investments and portfolios and comparing this to a consumer’s risk tolerance and investment objectives. If issues are identified, the analyst is responsible for quantifying damages. To assist in their analysis, the analyst will be required to use Bloomberg, Refinitiv and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze consumer complaints to determine fair and reasonable resolutions.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses of consumer investments and portfolios.
  • Compare investment performance to consumer risk tolerance and investment objectives.
  • Quantify damages when issues are identified.
  • Utilize Bloomberg, Refinitiv, and Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Advanced financial analysis skills and experience.
  • Knowledge of capital markets and investment products.
  • Experience using Bloomberg and Refinitiv.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Excel.
  • Superior communication skills.
  • Enrollment in the Chartered Financial Analyst program with completion of Level I required.
