Job SummaryProvide subject‑matter expertise in planning and executing audits for assigned business, function or project. Lead moderately complex audits and oversee multiple projects to enhance operational performance, ensure compliance, and drive process improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expertise in planning and executing end‑to‑end audits based on established audit plans and regulatory guidelines.
- Lead the planning process for assigned audits and manage risk assessments to improve effectiveness.
- Support audit opinions in accordance with internal controls and professional standards, presenting findings and recommendations to client and audit management.
- Manage follow‑ups on new findings from regulatory and internal divisional audits, ensuring data is up‑to‑date and properly documented.
- Identify process failures and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiencies.
- Stay knowledgeable about emerging trends and analytical tools to deliver quality results within tight time frames.
- Act with the highest levels of integrity while observing regulatory guidelines and handling confidential information discreetly.
- Build a fair and positive work environment, fostering open communication and collaboration among team members.
- Over 5 years of relevant experience and an undergraduate degree.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CAMS, CFCS) and accounting designations (CPA) preferred.
- Knowledge of AML and sanctions regulations (PCMLTFA/PCMLTFR) in Canada and U.S. BSA AML requirements an asset.
- Hands‑on knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook) and internet applications.
- Proficient in multi‑functional collaboration, providing guidance to teammates and building cross‑functional relationships.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in a fast‑changing environment.
