Td is seeking a Director, Principal Finance to lead finance activities for the Every Day Banking (EDB) product group within the Canadian Personal Bank. The role reports to the Associate Vice President, Finance Every Day Banking Saving & Investing and will manage a team of finance professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee financial reporting, forecasting, planning, and strategic analysis for the Every Day Banking group
- Partner with TBSM to report on investment strategies and optimize outcomes
- Conduct competitive analysis of business performance versus peers
- Lead business case development and management of strategic initiatives
- Manage expenses and identify opportunities to improve efficiency ratio
- Operate in a fast‑paced, detail‑oriented environment
- Implement value‑added process improvements to increase shareholder value
- Promote a positive work environment and encourage teamwork, productivity, innovation, and analytical insight
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills to deliver high-level financial analysis and insights
- CPA, CA, or CFA designation is an asset
- Strong business acumen and analytical capabilities; consolidate large amounts of information into concise analysis for executive decision‑making
- Experience working with senior executives
- Highly motivated, proactive self‑starter with strong time‑management and flexibility
- Strong organizational awareness and ability to balance finance and business viewpoints
- Understanding of Personal Deposit business is an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to build strong stakeholder relationships across functions
- Strong influencing and motivating skills, including influence over non‑direct reporting relationships
- Ability to negotiate, solve problems, and make decisions
