The RoleReporting to the Senior Manager, Mortgage Fulfillment, you will streamline the mortgage approval process for Canadians by ensuring accurate and efficient review of mortgage documentation and proactive communication with brokers. Your work maintains underwriting efficiency and safeguards against fraud.
What You’ll Be Doing- Follow up with mortgage brokers for outstanding documents, ensuring each document is reviewed, complete and accurate.
- Conduct verbal verification of employment, exercising due diligence.
- Manage the Documents Management System and ensure documents are handled within the established SLA.
- Satisfy conditions to bring files to broker completion.
- Liaise with and manage communication from third‑party service providers.
- Keep informed of Neo mortgage products, interest rates, lending guidelines and other pertinent information.
- Complete ad‑hoc requests as needed.
- Minimum 1‑2 years of mortgage fulfillment experience in the Canadian mortgage industry.
- A self‑starter with a positive attitude who leads by example.
- Experienced with Google Suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to foster and maintain strong business relationships.
- Organized, process‑oriented, with strong problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work under high pressure and multi‑task in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Project Manager mindset: take ownership of assigned tasks.
- Analytical: break down complex information for clients.
- Resourceful: find answers even when none are available.
- Proactive: never idle and thrive on being busy.
- Ability to comprehend and assess documentation related to mortgage down payment and borrower income confirmation.
- Aware of fraud risk and capable of addressing suspected misrepresentation.
- Detailed knowledge of mortgage funding and quality assurance processes.
- Positive attitude: help preserve a great culture.
- Relevant post‑secondary degree and/or mortgage professional experience.
