Position: Quality Assurance Specialist - Bilingual (English/Portuguese)

Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist – English/Portuguese

Location: 5000 Yonge Street, Toronto, ON (2 days in office/3 days remote)
Hourly Rate: $20.00/hr
Schedule:9am-5pm Monday-Friday

Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist fluent in English and Portuguese to join our Toronto office. You will be responsible for testing game systems, websites, and other player-facing platforms, identifying bugs, and providing actionable feedback to improve the gaming experience.

Responsibilities

  • Test and analyze games to identify issues with systems and features.
  • Report and track bugs using Redmine, Jira, or similar bug reporting tools.
  • Record test results and compile build-by-build status reports.
  • Create and execute test scenarios for new game builds and features.
  • Provide feedback on game balance, usability, and player experience.
  • Investigate bug reports from the Live Operations team and identify root causes.
  • Monitor live games and respond to user-reported issues when necessary.
  • Assist in creating in-game scenarios for promotional materials and marketing content.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in game testing or QA.
  • Experience with PC and/or console testing is a plus.
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese (written and verbal).
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of SQL and background in game development are assets.
  • Experience with bug reporting systems and writing test plans is an asset.
