Job Overview
Ontario Transit Group (OTG) is working on the Ontario Line project—a six‑kilometer tunnel and multiple stations that will support more than 227,500 people within a 10‑minute walk of a station. The South Civil package is anticipated to complete in 2030 and will create an estimated 1,500 construction jobs at the peak.
Project DescriptionFerrovial Construction Canada Inc. and VINCI Construction Grands Projets are design, build and finance the Ontario Line Southern Civil, Stations and Tunnel (South Civil) package. The project includes:
- A six‑kilometer tunnel from Exhibition to Don Yard portal (west of the Don River)
- One above‑ground station integrated with GO Transit Exhibition Station
- Two underground stations integrated with TTC Osgoode and Queen subway stations
- Four new underground stations (King/Bathurst, Queen/Spadina, Moss Park, Corktown)
- Produce clear, technically accurate 2D/3D drawings.
- Prepare site installation drawings and keep them updated as site progress requires.
- Prepare interface drawings illustrating coordination between Civil, SEM, TBM, MEP and architectural works.
- Prepare multi‑discipline coordination drawings to align geometry, access, and construction sequences.
- Incorporate information from design, BIM, survey and construction teams to maintain cross‑discipline consistency.
- Study and prepare the sequence for dismantling temporary works structures.
- Relevant design experience in structural or civil engineering, ideally on infrastructure, tunneling or heavy‑civil projects.
- Knowledge of structural behavior and temporary works systems (formwork, scaffolding, steel platforms, TBM‑related structures, etc.) is an advantage.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit.
- Strong team spirit, organized, rigorous, detail‑oriented, with a commitment to safety and constructability.
- Strong problem‑solving mindset, able to anticipate challenges and deliver practical, safe, and cost‑effective solutions.
- Competitive salary ($70,000–$90,000 CAD).
