At Mott Mac Donald, we are seeking a skilled professional to join our dynamic team in Toronto. As a Senior Structural Designer, you will play a crucial role in preparing structural 3D models and extracting 2D drawings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of our designs on a variety of built environment projects.

• Create 3D structural models using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Prepare 2D packages from the design models.
• Develop General Arrangement and detailed drawings for concrete and steel structures.
• Collaborate with other disciplines and the project engineering team for structural design requirements.
• Create drawings including sheet and view creation with minimal supervision.
• Develop technical drawings from sketches (determining appropriate scales, arrangement, and specific details of the drawings) from the concepts required by the engineering team.
• Respect and enforce policies and procedures in the preparation of drawings.
• Realize the different stages of the project in the time frames and budgets.
• Run clash detection exercises and do the necessary corrections.
• Perform other related duties that may contribute to the projects.
• Mentor junior designers through project assignments.

• Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in structural design, specifically in creating 3D structural models of concrete and steel structures in the built environment sector.
• Hold an associates or higher degree in automated drawing or civil/structural engineering technology or in a related field or working to obtain their degree.
• Experience working in construction, as an asset.
• Good communication skills (oral and written) in English.
• Knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD 3D, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Navisworks, Dynamo, Safe and MS Office is essential.
• Knowledge of Project Wise, Rhino, Rhino Inside Revit, Grasshopper, CSIxRevit is an added benefit.
• Ability to work to meet cost objectives, quality, and deadlines.
• Time management skills and adaptation to change.
