About the Opportunity
  • Manage projects through all phases, applying approved governance processes for integration, scope, schedule, cost, change control, estimating, communications, and risk.
  • Prepare project background information, contribute to scope and constructability reviews, and support business case submissions for project approval and funding.
  • Develop and coordinate project charters, work breakdown structures (WBS), estimates, schedules, risk management plans, and contract specifications.
  • Gather input from stakeholders to ensure requirements are captured and reflected in execution plans.
  • Coordinate approvals, licenses, permits, and clearances with internal and external agencies.
  • Lead the preparation of specifications, bid packages, tender evaluations, and purchasing recommendations.
  • Arrange and chair meetings with designers, suppliers, contractors, and operations teams to align requirements and progress.
  • Maintain close liaison with construction and operations teams on design, schedule, and cost‑related matters.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on project cost and schedule performance, managing variances and corrective actions.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Manage contract administration throughout all stages of the contracting process.
  • Ensure effective communication with stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and agencies to meet project objectives.
  • Oversee project turnover documentation, address deficiencies, and ensure completeness.
  • Conduct site visits to observe progress, techniques, and equipment, both domestically and internationally.
  • Maintain awareness of technological advancements in project management, engineering, and construction, and share insights to improve processes.
  • Provide leadership, assign work, and guide team members to ensure project deliverables are achieved.
About You
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, applied science, or a related discipline, plus post‑secondary courses in project management and business economics (or equivalent education).
  • Knowledge of project management principles across the five primary phases:
    Identification, Initiation, Definition, Execution, and Closeout.
  • Understanding of economics and business principles to provide accurate cost estimates and forecasts.
  • 6–8 years of experience managing projects of increasing complexity, including multi‑contract, multi‑stakeholder initiatives with schedule constraints.
  • Experience in developing project requirements and plans, preparing cost estimates, managing RFPs, contract bidding and awards, execution, and closeout.
  • Ability to balance scope, schedule, cost, and quality while managing conflicting priorities.
  • Familiarity with equipment and processes in heavy industry or generating facilities.
  • Knowledge of cost accounting, forecasting, commercial contracting methods, construction practices, codes, standards, quality assurance, and health and safety.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively across diverse internal and external groups.
  • Experience with environmental protection considerations in project delivery.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to solve problems, provide guidance, and ensure stakeholder requirements are met.
Pay Range

$69.31 - $79.31/hr
