Could you be the full-time Signaling and Civil Integration Specialist in Toronto, ON we’re looking for?

Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your civil engineering expertise in a cutting-edge field. Responsible for managing the interface between signaling systems and civil works to ensure seamless integration, compliance with standards, and timely delivery of project milestone.

You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.

You’ll play a central role in reducing the carbon footprint of Canada’s busiest public transit system while contributing to the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Areas' (GTHA) On-Corridor Works project. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Installation Supervisors, Project Site Managers, and BIM Coordinators), prepare and execute installation engineering activities, and ensure the delivery of high-quality drawings and documentation, among other responsibilities.

You’ll specifically take care of preparing installation material specifications and as-built documentation, but also support field teams and liaise with BIM Modelers to coordinate deliverables.

We’ll look to you for:

Ensure proper integration between signaling systems and civil works (Cable Containment, Foundations, Civil Structures)

Coordinate with civil, track, OHE (Overhead Equipment), and signaling teams to avoid clashes.

Review signaling layout plans, cable routes, and civil drawings for compatibility.

Verify compliance with standards.

Preparing and executing Installation Engineering (IE) activities, including drawings, documentation, interface management plans, specifications, and work method statements aligned with the Civil Scope.

Ensuring the delivery of drawings in line with project execution requirements.

Supporting field teams with design reviews and preparing design modifications based on site inputs.

Reviewing civil drawings and providing signalling equipment requirements for space allocation. Ensure civil provisions (foundations, cable ducts, troughing) are aligned with signaling installation design.

Liaise with design teams, construction teams, and client representatives to resolve interface issues

Preparing installation material specifications and bills of quantities (BoQ)

Supporting the preparation of field quality dossiers for handover

Performing site surveys and liaising with BIM Coordinators for integrated deliverables

Ensuring proper storage and maintenance of drawings in the project repository

Applying Digital & Integrated Systems Installation and Field Operations processes

Ensure adherence to safety protocols during installation and civil works near operational tracks

Alerting the team of any concerns that may impact quality, cost, or delivery (QCD) objectives
