The GO Expansion scope: new electric locomotives, fleet upgrades, train control systems, network electrification, signalling, telecommunications and digital systems, maintenance, and much more.
Alstom is seeking a Project Coordinator-Track Access. This individual will be responsible to support the Track Access team by ensuring that all access requirements are planned and delivered in accordance with all Canadian Rail Operating Rules (CROR).
Responsibilities- Identification of administrative authorizations required for work execution and process to obtain these authorizations, including Permit to Work
- Assisting the sub-system(s) in preparation of administrative application forms to get the authorizations / No Objection Certificate
- Monitoring administrative authorizations delivery and validity period (expiration date)
- Attendance to weekly meetings with Customer, to address any issues or interfaces and manage stakeholder requirements
- Identifies or verifies reported clashes and coordination issues between subsystems or/and other stakeholders
- Leads work area handover / handback, documenting any snags
- Assess the progress of works against the schedule
- Coordinate the 4M process implementation
- Identify and report Environment Health & Safety (EHS) hazards
- Coordinates all concurrent activities in the area and issues daily reports
- Book worksites through the Metrolinx Network Access Planning Tool (NAPT) system
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to deconflict and maximise available track access
- Support the Track Access Manager to ensure that all access requirements are planned and delivered in accordance with all Canadian Rail Operating Rules (CROR) and the General Engineering Instructions (GEI)
- Signing track staff in & out of site and checking PTS certification and PPE
- Communicate with management and worksite staff to provide progress updates from site
- Logging and reporting of safety - critical information (accidents and incidents)
- Develop and maintain relationships with Alstom and Metrolinx, as well as third party planning teams.
- Undertake the role in a manner that is consistent with and reinforces company standards.

- Bachelor's Degree
