Overview
Join our client’s team as a Hardware Compliance Designer / Engineer
, where you’ll help ensure complex electronic systems meet required safety and certification standards. This role is hands-on and technical, with a strong focus on EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) and hardware compliance rather than pure electrical design.
This is a contract position (initially 4-6 months) with a strong possibility of extension or conversion to permanent. The role is hybrid, with onsite work required for testing and lab activities—especially during onboarding.
Responsibilities- Set up and support EMC and environmental tests (such as temperature and vibration).
- Work with electronic test equipment.
- Prepare clear, detailed documentation including test plans, procedures, reports, and EMC analysis.
- With experience, participate in customer discussions to help explain results and compliance outcomes.
- Hands-on EMC experience and a solid understanding of hardware certification processes.
- Experience in railway signaling is a plus, but candidates from aerospace, avionics, automotive, industrial electronics, or certification labs are welcome.
- Comfortable working with electronic hardware, able to document your work clearly, and confident communicating technical information.
- A degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience) is required.
Hourly Rate Range: $55-$58
