What will you do:

As a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams, you will:

Energy Audits, Modelling & Technical Analysis
  • Conduct ASHRAE‑level energy audits, studies, and workshops.
  • Co‑design energy and emissions reduction strategies using advanced modelling tools (whole building energy modelling, NECB/ASHRAE 90.1 modelling, parametric modelling, daylight simulations, and embodied carbon analysis).
  • Model net‑zero buildings and develop client‑focused decarbonization strategies.
  • Perform high‑level portfolio energy analysis using energy planning tools.
Design Review & Project Support
  • Review mechanical, electrical, and architectural drawings against net‑zero and high‑performance goals.
  • Provide clear technical recommendations and present results to clients and internal teams.
  • Support sustainability strategies and submissions for green building certifications.
  • Contribute to resiliency, energy planning, and high‑performance community initiatives.
Collaboration & Leadership
  • Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams; lead others as needed.
  • Conduct research and deliver data‑driven insights for both internal and client‑facing projects.
  • Support continuous improvement of our consulting tools, strategies, and methodologies.
What will make you successful:
  • 5+ years conducting ASHRAE‑level energy audits, energy modelling, or sustainability consulting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or architectural engineering, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, lighting, controls, envelope, etc.).
  • Hands‑on experience with energy modelling tools such as:
    • RETScreen Expert
    • Carrier HAP
    • Trane TRACE 3D+
    • eQUEST
    • Energy Plus
  • Familiarity with IECC, ASHRAE standards, and energy modelling protocols.
  • Ability to perform HVAC load calculations and life‑cycle cost analysis.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% within the GTA and occasionally across Canada.
Nice‑to‑Haves
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation.
  • CEM, CMVP, or CBCP certification.
  • Experience with:
    • Building Automation Systems
    • Net‑Zero design practices
    • IPMVP Measurement & Verification
    • Energy bill validation and net‑zero planning tools
What's in it for you:

The compensation range for this full‑time position, which includes base pay and short‑term incentive, is $114,750-$162,000 for candidates who are Ontario residents. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by performance, knowledge, job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
