As a Senior Structural Associate in our Toronto office, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping technical excellence and client strategy within our Structural Practice. You’ll lead teams through complex building challenges, serve as a trusted advisor to major clients, and influence both project outcomes and the future of our practice in Canada.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Own the technical vision for large or complex building projects, setting direction, conducting independent technical reviews, and defining best‑in‑class solutions.
- Serve as the primary client partner, building trusted relationships, anticipating needs, and creating long‑term strategic impact.
- Lead and grow high‑performing teams, managing and delegating technical and management responsibilities across multiple staff levels.
- Drive new business and market presence through proposal development, thought leadership, and active engagement in the Canadian structural engineering community.
- Shape firm strategy, developing your own business roadmap and advising senior leadership on opportunities, markets, and emerging trends.
- Strengthen our industry position by deepening expertise, building your personal brand, and helping the firm expand into new opportunities in Canada.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering;
Master’s degree preferred. - Professional Engineer (P.Eng) licensure.
- 10+ years of structural engineering experience, with a proven track record of leading complex building projects.
- Recognized subject matter expertise in structural engineering, with strong technical judgment and advanced problem‑solving ability.
- Proven client leadership, including relationship‑building, strategic guidance, and repeat business generation.
- Experience managing teams at multiple levels and elevating others through coaching, delegation, and clear direction.
- Demonstrated impact in winning work, proposal writing, and market or practice development.
