We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual with expertise in building automation systems, HVAC controls, project coordination, and building performance optimization. The role will include managing schedules and resources, coordinating installation tasks, preparing BAS drawings and graphics, reviewing bid documents, supporting cost estimating and proposals, analyzing trend data, and providing remote technical support.

Type: Full-time, permanent
Salary: $70,000–$80,000 per year, based on skills, education and experience.
Responsibilities Coordinate installation and service of building automation systems, including managing schedules, directing personnel, and overseeing materials and equipment needs
Prepare BAS drawings and graphics using Visio (or similar drafting software)
Review bid documents to identify BAS-related scope and assist with cost estimating and proposal preparation
Analyze BAS trend data to optimize and troubleshoot HVAC systems
Provide BAS technical support via phone and email, including occasional after-hours remote support
Support programming and commissioning workflows by interpreting sequence of operations and collaborating with technical specialists
Assist in integrating new automation, monitoring, and reporting tools into project workflows
Requirements Strong understanding of light commercial HVAC systems, including boilers, pumps, chillers, and ventilation units
Experience in construction or technical project management, including scheduling tools, workflows, and documentation practices
Hands‑on familiarity with BAS systems (design, installation, troubleshooting, or commissioning)
Proficiency preparing drawings and graphics using Visio or similar drafting tools
Strong data analysis skills, including Excel proficiency and the ability to interpret system trends, charts, and graphs
Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills for supporting clients and internal teams remotely
Strong understanding of Prompt Engineering in AI LLMs like ChatGPT and Grok
Education & Qualifications Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Automation, HVAC Technology, or Building Systems Engineering
Equivalent combination of technical education and hands‑on experience in BAS or HVAC controls will be considered
Additional certifications in BAS platforms (e.g., Niagara, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell, Schneider, Delta, Trane, etc.) are an asset
Other preferred skills and experience: hands‑on experience programming or commissioning BAS systems; strong understanding of control sequences; comfort with construction documentation and project coordination
