About the role:
We are actively seeking a Field Technician (Geology)-12 months Fixed term to join the Côté Gold Mine Site, reporting to the Chief Geologist. This role is performed in the field pertaining to grade control, sampling, transportation and material tracking and reporting and communicating progress.
Working closely with Geology team, the position provides on site support with field sampling, site surveys, and data recording.
Responsibilities:
· Collect samples from Reverse circulation drills and Production drills for grade control program.
· Organize, dispatch and complete chain of custody dispatching samples to laboratories.
· Organize, receive and store returning samples from laboratories.
· Safe operation of flatbed field trucks/ telehandler following Cote Gold safety standards while operating around active mining areas.
· Assist Geology team with in-field ore block marks with field ore blocks markups.
· Keep track of inventory of supplies.
· Maintain, wash and clean light vehicles as required.
· Maintain, wash and clean survey, drill and blast and geology tools and equipment as required.
Key Skills & Knowledge:
· Grade 12 or equivalent.
· Exceptions may be sought as required.
· A college diploma in a geology or mining related field is considered an asset.
Relevant
Experience:
A minimum of 3 months’ related work experience is an asset. Previous experience in mining (specifically open put mining) is considered an asset.
Skills & Strengths, We Value:
Ability to adapt to changing environmental conditions, such as cold, snow, rain, heat, etc.
Ability to operate a telehandler.
Basic computer skills

Salary Range: $63,000- $94,500
The final offer is determined based on your individual skills, qualifications, and competencies and aligned with our commitment to internal equity.
