Job Summary

We’re seeking a skilled Civil Engineer capable of managing projects from design phase through completion to join our team in the GTA.

The ideal candidate will have several years of experience related to subdivision and/or site‑plan design, ideally within the GTA or Southwestern Ontario. In this role, you'll have an opportunity to design your own career path, work with a collaborative and creative team, and hone your technical and leadership skills as part of a growing and dynamic organization.

Responsibilities & Qualifications Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead residential/commercial Land Development projects ranging in scope between preliminary servicing investigation, functional servicing studies, to detailed design assignment on subdivision and site‑plan projects in southern Ontario.
  • Direct staff and manage multi‑discipline project teams.
  • Financially manage projects including meeting budgets, resource management, change‑order management, and client invoicing.
  • Collaborate with Group Leader, other Project Engineers, and Project Managers within the Group to identify staffing and training requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with municipal/approval agencies as well as developers and landowners.
  • Guide the team to establish consistency and quality assurance processes in the production of all deliverables and manage the quality control of all submission materials.
  • Train junior/intermediate team members on the various facets of land development infrastructure design.
  • As required, design aspects of site‑plan work, municipal servicing and on‑site private stormwater management.
  • Obtain all necessary approvals, prepare servicing reports, cost estimates, work programs, project budgets, proposals and other administrative duties.
  • Participate in business development, maintain strong client relationships, identify and follow through on strategic opportunities.
  • Develop proposals, budgets and schedules, and ongoing business development and liaison with clients.
  • Attend industry‑related conferences and events.
  • Participate in company‑wide quality initiatives and improvements through quality objectives such as facilitating departmental level quality plans and procedures.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a closely related field.
  • 6+ years of experience related to the design and management of site‑plan or subdivision projects in Ontario.
  • Must be a licensed P.Eng with Professional Engineers Ontario.
  • Solid understanding of the local planning and development approval process.
  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, LDD, and Civil 3D.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor junior members of the team.
