Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Design Manager, Civil & Municipal Roadways to join our team!
Responsibilities
Supervise and manage CAD designers, drafters, and technicians
Lead and participate in the development of CAD design deliverables
Assign CAD design tasks, monitor progress and set deadlines ensuring timely submission of deliverables
Provide mentorship and training on CAD software, design standards and processes
Collaborate with project managers, engineers and stakeholders to understand project requirements and obtain directions
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to integrate civil and roadway CAD designs as required
Ensure CAD designs meet industry and client specifications, standards and regulatory requirements
Implement and conduct QA and QC processes to ensure compliance with CAD design software requirements, standards, templates, workflows and methodologies
Required Skills
Proficiency in CAD and/or Roadway Design software (AutoCAD, Microstation, etc.)
In-depth knowledge of various municipal roadway/industry design standards, workflows and processes
Strong leadership and team coordination abilities
Advanced written and verbal communication skills
Microsoft Office Suite
Desired Skills
Advanced knowledge of various roadway/transportation engineering CAD Design software (Civil 3D, Open Roads Designer, InRoads, Auto Turn, Torus, etc.)
Problem solving and critical-thinking abilities
Knowledge of Project Wise
