Atkins Realis is seeking qualified and experienced personnel in the Toronto Office to carry out Water Resources studies for Roads, Bridges and Municipal Engineering group.

• Conduct hydrological and hydraulic analysis, including flood mapping, water balance analysis, hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, and LID Design.
• Develop engineering designs and drawings from preliminary concepts, specifications, bid documents, engineering directives, and other data, according to client specifications for municipal road and highway infrastructure projects.
• Performs basic calculations to analyze and design water resources system components using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software (e.g., Visual OTTHYMO, PCSWMM, GIS, Culvert Master, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HY8, Culvert Master, AutoCAD etc.).
• Working knowledge of using different design criteria manuals from Cities, MTO, MOE, and Conservation Authorities.
• Design and prepare profiles, cross sections, and storm drainage systems.
• Prepare reports, calculations, technical memos, and meeting minutes.
• Develop and oversee preparation of contract packages includes design drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Support project management, proposal writing and business development and client base support.
• Coordinate with other disciplines.

• Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (Water Resources) from a recognized institution, Graduate Degree is an asset.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng) or Registered as an EIT with Professional Engineers Ontario.
• Minimum of 5 years of Water Resources Engineering modeling experience.
• Working knowledge of current design software including Micro Station, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
• Demonstrated problem solving ability.
• Demonstrated experience in civil engineering design and project engineering in municipal roads and/or highways including preliminary and detailed design, specifications, and contract documents.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and meet established deadlines.
• Effective interpersonal skills, a strong client-service focus, and the ability to work in a team environment are essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
