Integrated Digital Delivery aims to provide a project ecosystem to facilitate and enable, rather than to check and control, through consistent assessment of emerging technologies to enhance value of the entire lifecycle of our projects.
Expected pay range for this opportunity/new role and existing vacancy is 100 - 130K salary + bonus.
What You'll Do Here:
Overall accountability for enabling BIM, GIS and digital construction across project disciplines (Design, estimating, planning, construction)To provide Leadership, support and co-ordination across all technical work streams, during each stage of a project from Design through to construction. Technical work streams may include but are not limited to; all engineering disciplines, design management, digital engineering, sustainability, engineering surveying, asset management and industrialisation.Ensure delivery of BIM and GIS in accordance with Aecon’s IDD BIM related processes and procedures and support the IDD Director with the future developments.Ensure the right resourcing profile for the IDD team’s on the project, based on the BIM goals set in the bid phase.The role will manage the link between the Client’s BIM representatives, the consultant BIM team, Aecon (and any JV partner) and any sub-contractors BIM team. The role will support the project Technical director’s to enable BIM outcomes to ensure the information is delivered to programme and coordinated between engineering disciplines, organisations and packages.Ensure BIM the BIM requirements set on the project support digital integrating across all project functionsTo ensure validation reports to verify Information Models in accordance with ISO 19650 and the Institute for BIM in Canada toolkitWhat You Bring to the Table:
Large Infrastructure BIM Implementation experienceEducational and Industry experience requirements include;
Engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training plus experience/knowledge of Civil Construction practiceExcellent knowledge of BIM Standard’s (ISO 19650/ Institute of BIM in Canada)Experience with model federation platforms such as Assemble Systems, Navisworks and Bentley NavigatorExperience in the implantation of Common Data Environments such as Project Wise and AconexDetailed understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards etc. and their impact on project activities is vitalWorking knowledge of EHS regulationsExperience across all stages of a project lifecycleExperience of working within construction project environmentsExperience of large complex projects in infrastructure would be desirableUnderstanding design and construction phases and alignment with the Digital Plan of WorksOn-site construction experience would be desirableStrong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills (tact, diplomacy, influence etc.) skills are essentialExcellent customer service skills, a passion for problem ownership, and a customer-first attitudeProven experience in priority setting, multitasking, and working with minimal direct supervisionBilingual (French and English) would be desirableAbility to travel to site, mobile for projects
