Job Description
The Civil Project Coordinator plays a vital support role during construction, ensuring all activities align with safety, quality, and project objectives. Responsibilities include scheduling, procurement coordination, document control, quality assurance, and project reporting. This is an overnight position working Monday to Friday, 6:00 PM to 4:00 AM (EST).
The salary range for this position is $80,000 CAD - $110,000 CAD, plus additional benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all site activities comply with safety regulations and company policies
- Coordinate project schedules, resources, equipment, and information.
- Prepare upcoming works activity in methods, procurement and design.
- Review construction drawings and specifications, generate procurement list, RFIs, Change Orders, Permitting, traffic and land information, etc. as necessary.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid project delays
- Implement quality control ensuring and checking works compliance with technical drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate, prepare, and compile as-built documentation for quality records.
- Provide Management with data and project analysis.
- Provide data and input for month-end reconciliation.
- Report site work activities, track productivity, costs, and progress on Ontario Line South.
- Maintain files and correspondence.
- Liaise with subcontractors, internal departments and stakeholders, as required.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a civil construction coordination or a similar role.
- Relevant certifications, such as OSHA safety training, are an asset.
- Experience reading and understanding construction drawings and documents.
- Sound computer skills, including MS Excel / Lotus, MS Word.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Self-motivated with good organizational skills.
- Adaptable to a flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work with others as a team.
