The Role

This is your opportunity to leverage your expertise in software and safety assurance while contributing to projects that shape the future of rail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce high-quality analysis, assessments, reports, and designs to support client projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Innovate new tools and techniques to meet client needs, drawing from global best practices.
  • Plan and execute project activities, ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Provide technical expertise and inputs for business development activities and proposals.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, ensuring client safety and satisfaction.
  • Represent our company in client meetings, workshops, and industry events.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive project success.
  • Assume leadership roles as needed to support business objectives.
  • Contribute to the growth of our North American business through delivering excellence to our clients.
Key Competencies And Experience
  • Degree in computer science, electronic/electrical engineering or similar.
  • Highly experienced in the rail industry.
  • Understanding of system safety for complex electronic systems in the rail industry.
  • Experience with CENELEC system safety standards (EN50126, 50128, 50129).
  • Awareness of different railway signalling systems and principles (e.g. CBTC, PTC, ETCS).
  • Experience with safety analysis techniques for complex systems (e.g. fault tree analysis, failure modes and effects analysis, functional failure analysis, hazard identification).
  • Familiarity with software development and verification techniques for safety-critical software (e.g. coding standards, software testing, static analysis).
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organisational abilities, flexible and adept at meeting deadlines.
Desirable Experience
  • Awareness of field testing (e.g. system integration tests, dynamic testing, trial running).
  • Knowledge of CMREA / CSM / CENELEC standards.
  • Familiarity with the Canadian Railway System, including CMREA, is advantageous.

Note: We do not require Canadian work experience for this role.
