  • Perform detailed solar performance modeling, shading analysis, and system optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, building regulations, and utility interconnection requirements.
  • Review and approve design packages prior to submission for permitting or installation.
  • Stay current with new products, technologies, and best practices in the solar industry.
  • Project Coordination & Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with sales, engineering, and project management teams to ensure accurate and efficient project execution.
  • Provide technical support during the pre-sales and post-installation stages as needed.
  • Review site assessments, as-built documentation, and change requests for design feasibility.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior and co-op designers, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all design deliverables.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of design standards, templates, and internal processes.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in solar PV system design (residential or commercial).

  • Familiarity with Canadian Electrical Code (CEC)
  • Solid understanding of electrical principles, solar system components, and interconnection requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Commitment to accuracy, efficiency, and sustainability.
What We Offer
  • Competitive annual salary of $46,000.00
  • Opportunities for career growth and leadership development.
  • Collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Exposure to innovative solar technologies and large-scale design projects.
  • Mentorship and ongoing technical training.
