Job Description & How to Apply Below

ACCIONA is a global company, leading in the development of regenerative infrastructure that creates a positive impact on society. Our workforce consists of more than 65,000 professionals, present in more than 40 countries across the five continents, all contributing in our mission to design a better planet. Are you a passionate individual who wants to make a difference, promote sustainable development, and find solutions to the biggest global challenges including climate change, overpopulation, and water scarcity?

Come and join us in building the infrastructure our planet needs to achieve a sustainable future.

We have successfully delivered large infrastructure projects across Canada since 2001. Our leadership and expertise span the entire value chain from research and development through construction, operation and maintenance of projects. Currently involved in some of Canada’s largest infrastructure projects, ACCIONA delivers solutions that contribute to the economic and social progress of the communities in which it operates.

In partnership with Metrolinx, ACCIONA is playing a key role in the design and construction of the Eglinton Crosstown West Extension (ECWE), a 9.2-kilometre westward addition to Toronto’s Line 5 light rail transit network. This major infrastructure project includes seven new stations and installation of rail and systems under a progressive design‑build model. Beyond its technical scope, the ECWE project represents a significant investment in sustainable urban mobility, expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 5,800 tonnes annually and eliminate over 6.5 million vehicle trips each year when combined with the full Line 5.

This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team on a complex, high-value project that supports long‑term regional growth and environmental sustainability. If you're ready to make a meaningful impact and advance your career with a global infrastructure leader, we encourage you to apply and grow with us.

Job Description

The Digital Specialist will be a key member of the Digital Delivery & BIM team, responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing digital engineering solutions across the ECWE SRS project. This role goes beyond typical BIM support — the successful candidate will bring strong programming skills, the ability to develop internal applications, and proven experience in construction environments.

You will work closely with engineering, construction, and systems teams to design and deliver data‑driven solutions, automate workflows, support app development, and ensure effective implementation of BIM and CDE processes aligned with ISO 19650 and project requirements.

This is a senior, hands‑on technical role for an individual who can bridge software development, digital engineering, and construction industry workflows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop internal web‑based applications, dashboards, and automation tools to support design, construction, and quality management workflows.
  • Build and maintain database interfaces (SQL, Postgre

    SQL, Firebase, or similar).
  • Develop or support AI/ML solutions for model validation, classification, data extraction, and quality control.
  • Create and maintain scripts, APIs, and integrations with Autodesk ACC, SharePoint or other CDE platforms.
  • Support model review processes, digital coordination workflows, and integration between BIM and data‑driven tools.
  • Support BIM model checks for completeness, metadata structure, asset data, and discipline alignment.
  • Assist with enforcing BEPs, MIDP requirements, ISO 19650 naming conventions, and asset information structures.
  • Develop scripts or tools to improve document control, model sharing, revision tracking, and auditability.
  • Collaborate closely with construction, field engineers, systems, and QA/QC teams to digitalise site processes.
  • Help deliver 4D/5D‑enabled workflows, field data capture, and digital site reporting.
  • Build and maintain dashboards for performance tracking, model progression, asset readiness, and digital reporting.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and alignment between BIM models, databases, and reporting tools.
