We've partnered with an amazing company who is looking to add an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to their team. You would be working to support North American environmental compliance and lead Health & Safety programs for their Canadian manufacturing location.
This role is ideal for an experienced EHS professional who enjoys hands‑on leadership, training, audits, and working directly with regulators.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with Canadian environmental regulations
- Identify compliance gaps and support audits and inspections
- Lead Health & Safety programs at the Canadian site
- Develop and deliver safety training, including:
- Onboarding safety training
- Emergency preparedness & response
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
- Spill response and containment
- Conduct hazard assessments and site audits
- Support incident investigations and injury reporting
- Partner with People & Culture on return-to-work and disability management
- Liaise with external regulatory and legislative bodies
- Diploma or degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years experience in an EHS role, specifically in manufacturing settings
- Strong knowledge of Canadian Health & Safety legislation
- Experience with environmental compliance and audits
- Excellent communication and training skills
- English required | Spanish an asset
- SAP or EHS system experience an asset
- $80-90,000 salary
