Electrical BIM Designer role. We are a global multidisciplinary firm dedicated to shaping a better world through innovative design and delivery.
Joining Arup, you will contribute to high‑quality BIM models and deliver detailed electrical design and drawings to our clients. As a BIM Designer you’ll plan projects, develop detailed designs, coordinate across disciplines, and maintain BIM standards. You will also drive digital production innovation and train teams on new tools.
Responsibilities- Draft electrical design and concept using BIM workflows including BIM Execution Plans, LOD matrix, and MEA.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to create model and drawing sets, ensuring consistency and compliance with contractual requirements.
- Review BIM models to ensure data consistency, alignment with project specifications, and perform model health checks.
- Address code compliance and interference issues using data insights; communicate coordination concerns to the team and support resolution.
- Provide technical support and mentoring; co‑create digital inception plans, host training, onboarding, and BIM kick‑off sessions; prepare support documentation.
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Building Services or equivalent.
- 3+ years’ experience in electrical building design/construction.
- Proven understanding of BIM workflow such as BIM Execution Plans, LOD, and MEA.
- Strong knowledge of electrical modelling and familiarity with multidisciplinary (SMEP) modelling using Autodesk Revit.
- Proficiency in recognised modelling authoring platforms – Revit, AutoCAD, Micro Station or similar.
- Experience with coordination platforms – ACC, Navisworks, Revizto or similar.
- Ability to work with minimal direction while collaborating with teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Must not require sponsorship now or in the future.

Toronto Hiring RangeBase salary range – $75,000 to $100,000 per year (commensurate with experience, education, and skill). Benefits are not included.
