Description:

This course is designed to illustrate how successful managers implement innovation in their areas of responsibility. Students will learn the importance of leadership, entrepreneurial thinking and creativity in dealing with the changing and complex issues facing today's business enterprises. The courses will attempt to develop the individual's creative instincts and improve their capacity as agents of change within careers as independent business owners or managers within large corporations.

Lecture time:
Friday 9:00 – 12:00 and Friday 13:00 – 16:00

Course delivery in Spring 2026 will be in-person.

Candidates hired for in-person courses will be required to carry out their teaching on campus.

NOTE:

This course will be offered in an accelerated format with 2 lectures per week i.e. in a "1 hour + 1 hour" format, "2 hours + 2 hours" format or "3 hours + 3 hours" format. Lectures run May 6 to June 20, 2026.

A part-time hourly appointment/one semester is for less than 9 hours in any one semester. The normal full-time teaching workload in the Department is a maximum of 16 hours per week across the Fall and Winter terms.

Qualifications

  • All applicants must be in possession of a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline. Specific courses may require other and/or higher qualifications as specified in the Department's preferred combinations indicated above.
  • Applicant should have up-to-date knowledge in the specific fields/disciplines of relevance for all of the courses in the position(s) for which they apply.
  • Applicants should have previous teaching experience and good human-relations skills, including reliability, collegiality, professionalism, a respect for the rights of co-workers and students, and ability to meet commitment.
