Your Day To DaySpecifically, the Instructor will be responsible for:
Teaching And Curriculum Delivery- Deliver engaging and effective instruction in the Social Media and Web Marketing program curriculum.
- Use diverse teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles, including lectures, group discussions, and hands‑on activities.
- Provide academic support to students, including tutoring, mentoring, and guidance.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress through assignments, exams, and participation.
- Offer constructive feedback to help students improve their knowledge and skills.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in faculty meetings and contribute to institutional goals.
- Establish and maintain connections with social service agencies to facilitate student placements or program improvement.
- Stay updated on developments in the field of social services to bring current knowledge into the classroom.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching effectiveness.
- Assist in student recruitment and retention efforts as needed.
- Support the coordination of field practicums or internships for students.
- Address student concerns and mediate conflicts when necessary.
- Degree, diploma or certification from a recognized university.
- Three or more years’ experience in a related field.
- A minimum of 1‑year instructional experience or hold a certificate in adult learning.
- Relevant industry skills and knowledge relating to the area of instruction, including ongoing professional development and continuous improvement.
- Interest in pedagogical and multi‑modal education approaches an asset.
- Advanced oral and written communication skills, including presentation and group facilitation.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students.
- High standards of behavior, a professional attitude and commitment to quality service.
- Ability to work cooperatively with other instructors and staff.
- Ability to consider and respond appropriately to the needs, feelings and capabilities of students, to provide feedback and treat students equitably.
- Learn and use technology to enhance the student learning experience.
