Course DescriptionAn introduction to micro- and macro-organizational behaviour theories from both conceptual and applied perspectives. Students will develop an understanding of the behaviour of individuals and groups in different organizational settings. Topics covered include individual differences, motivation and job design, leadership, organisational design and culture, group dynamics, and inter-group relations.
QualificationsMinimum qualifications: A master's degree in organisational behaviour/industrial‑organisational psychology or a master's degree in social/personality psychology with at least two graduate level courses in organisational psychology. A strong academic record and previous experience teaching this course or a similar course at the undergraduate level or experience in activities related to teaching (e.g., teaching assistant, course development).
Preferred qualifications: A Ph.D. in Organisational Behaviour, Industrial‑Organisational Psychology, Human Resources Management, or Social/Personality Psychology with at least two graduate level courses in organisational behaviour/psychology, a strong academic record, and previous teaching experience with good evaluations.
ResponsibilitiesDesign, deliver, and manage a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content, development, administration, and marking of assignments, tests, and exams, calculation and submission of grades, holding regular office hours, maintaining reasonable availability for student contact, and supervising the T.A. assigned to the course.
Estimated TA SupportApproximately 50 minutes per student enrolled over 30.
