This course serves as an introduction to the functional areas of business, including accounting, finance, production and marketing. It builds on the material covered in MGTA
01H3.

Minimum Qualifications- Relevant advanced academic degree (Masters degree minimum); demonstrated teaching excellence, currency in and mastery of subject area;
- Previous experience in teaching a similar course at undergraduate (university) level;
- Experience using technology in both delivery and maintenance of a university course;
- Related professional experience.
- Extensive practical experience in a management role or in management consulting;
- Previous experience teaching large enrolment introductory‑level business or management courses at the university level, with consistent and strong course evaluations.
- Design, prepare and deliver course content in a university credit course;
- Develop, administer, and mark assignments, quizzes, tests, and exams;
- Calculate and submit grades, hold regular office hours and maintain reasonable availability for student and administrative contact;
- Screen, select and supervise a team of TAs assigned to the course.
Approximately 50 minutes per student enrolled over 30.

Preferred Candidate CriteriaPreference in hiring is given to qualified individuals advanced to the rank of Sessional Lecturer II or Sessional Lecturer III in accordance with Article 14:12. In considering qualified applicants, teaching excellence, currency in and mastery of subject area; previous experience in teaching a similar course at undergraduate (university) level or similar environment; several years related professional experience shall be the criteria used in the selection of the most qualified candidate in accordance with Article 14:12.

The Sessional Lecturer I rate of pay will be $9,820.70. Sessional Lecturer I‑Long Term rate of pay will be $10,510.04. Sessional Lecturer II rate of pay will be $10,510.04. Sessional Lecturer II‑Long Term rate of pay will be $10,760.28. Sessional Lecturer III rate of pay will be $10,760.28. Sessional Lecturer III‑Long Term rate of pay will be $11,030.36.
