Salary Range: Teachers at TFS are members of the Alliance des enseignants de la Toronto French School union. Salaries are determined according to a structured grid that considers years of teacher-training (college or university) and professional experience. We have four salary levels (from D to G), each with its own minimum and maximum range:

• Level D: from $64,093 to $105,928
• Level E: from $66,082 to $112,052
• Level F: from $72,838 to $131,047
• Level G: from $76,018 to $134,292

Reporting to the Principal and/or his/her delegate, and working in collaboration with the teachers and resource teachers, you will be responsible to:

• The main goal will be to create a supportive learning environment which will help students meet their learning goals
• Have a clear understanding of the various needs of all the different groups of students
• Use the appropriate study materials and resources that enhance active learning and motivate students
• Oversee their progress by tracking their assignments, in order to provide useful feedback
• Plan course material and activities
• Build trusting relationships with students, parents, and other staff

Who We Are Looking For

• Excellent French skills (oral and written)
• Certified teacher (OCT or equivalent) with a degree in education (B.Ed. or M.Ed.)
• Ability to teach in French (native language)
• Experience as a French teacher
• Knowledge of the International Baccalaureate (IB) and Ontarian programs would be an asset
• Teacher certification by the French Ministry of Education would also be an asset
