Appointment Details
The base salary range for Contract Lectures hired August 16, 2025 through August 15, 2026 is $77,701.53 to $99,371.53 per annum. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications. Contract amounts are calculated based on the number of semester hours in the appointment.

510 - Numerical Analysis - (Tentative Schedule) Mondays - 6:00pm
-9:30pm and Wednesdays - 6:00pm - 9:00pm
Review of Taylor's formula, truncation error and round off error. Solutions of Nonlinear Equations in one variable. Linear Equations. LU-decomposition. Eigenvalues and eigenvectors. Jacobi, Gauss-Seidel methods. Interpolation and curve fitting. Numerical integration. Numerical solution of ordinary differential equations. (Initial value problems.)
Please Note:
a) A full workload half-sessional appointment is for 15 hours in any one semester.
b) A reduced workload half-sessional appointment is for at least 9 but less than 15 semester hours in any one semester.
c) A part-time hourly appointment / one semester is for less than 9 hours in any one semester.
The Department reserves the right to alter the above posting by removing or adding courses due to enrolment or alterations in its budget.
AA support is academically required to deliver course MTH
510 that you have been assigned. You will be provided appropriate AA support.
Additionally, if eligible, the successful candidate will receive 20% of the total extra students payment as outlined in Article 17 of the Unit 1 Collective Agreement.

Education
PhD. or equivalent in field related to target course
Teaching Experience
Teaching target or similar course at Toronto Metropolitan undergraduate program or another university undergraduate program.
Currency
Academic publications more than 5 years ago or current (less than 5 years) professional profile (including professional or academic presentations).
Other demonstrated professional currency (practitioner writing, courses taken).
Interactive Skills
The following will be rated based on previous teaching ratings/evaluations:
