Course Description

An introduction to economic analysis and its applications: price determination, market structure, decision making by individuals and firms, public policy.

NOTE:

extensive use of graphical and quantitative analysis.

Minimum qualifications
  • PhD in Economics
  • Prior experience teaching this course (or a similar course) at the university level
  • Ability and experience teaching large classes
Preferred qualifications
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching over four or more years
Description of duties
  • Preparation and delivery of lectures in this course
  • Supervision of teaching assistant(s) assigned to course
  • Preparation, supervision and grading of tests and examinations in accordance with University regulations
  • Providing scheduled office hours for academic counseling of students
