Overview

The Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto invites applications for a full-time teaching-stream appointment in the Operations Management & Statistics Area. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate management courses in operations management, statistics, spreadsheet modelling, and business analytics; including lecture preparation and delivery, and curriculum development.
  • Demonstrate teaching excellence with the ability to integrate theory and practice, effective communication and presentation skills, mastery of the subject area, commitment to pedagogical inquiry and teaching innovation, and engagement in teaching-related scholarly activities in operations management.
  • Contribute to the teaching dossier with a teaching statement, sample course materials, and teaching evaluations.
Qualifications
  • PhD in Operations Management or a related field such as Information Systems.
  • Demonstrated record of excellence in teaching and the ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in operations management, statistics, spreadsheet modelling, and business analytics.
  • Experience teaching in a degree-granting management program with lecture preparation and delivery, and curriculum development.
  • Evidence of excellence in teaching demonstrated through the teaching dossier, awards, conference presentations, letters of reference, and, for short-listed candidates, strong performance during on-campus presentations.
