We invite a full‑time, permanent faculty appointment as Division Head, Haematology Oncology at the Hospital for Sick Children, 555 University Ave., Toronto, ON. The Division offers a comprehensive subspecialty residency/fellowship program, attracts Canadian and international trainees, and hosts specialized fellowships in early phase trials, neuro‑oncology, cancer genetics, survivorship, and stem‑cell transplantation/cellular therapy. Our interprofessional team provides comprehensive care across haematology, stem‑cell transplant/cellular therapies, leukemia/lymphoma, solid tumour, and neuro‑oncology.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and mentor the Division’s faculty and trainees, fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.
- Collaborate with allied health and nursing partners and innovate with scientists at the Research Institute.
- Champion clinical services, education and research to advance our cancer and haematology programs.
- Support the expansion of specialised clinical services and provide opportunities for translational and basic research.
- Serve as a strategic advisor and steward of philanthropic funds, influencing the Division’s vision and guiding the Garron Family Cancer Centre (GFCC).
- Align academic activities with the Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto.
- Leadership and mentoring experience with a demonstrated track record in academic and research excellence.
- MD, MBBS or equivalent, and certification or eligibility for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario; must also be able to function proficiently in English.
- Eligible for an academic appointment at the University of Toronto.
- Rank and salary commensurate with qualifications (US $425,000–$525,000 per annum); additional leadership stipend and benefits package may apply.
