Sick Kids has more than 300 beds and performs more than 6,000 interventional procedures (vascular and non‑vascular) on over 4,000 patients per year.

The Department of Diagnostic Imaging at the Hospital for Sick Children invites applications from qualified paediatric interventional radiologists for 1 faculty full‑time position in the Division of Image Guided Therapy
. The successful candidate must be eligible for a full‑time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto. The anticipated start date is June 30, 2026 or shortly thereafter.

The Division of Pediatric Interventional Radiology currently consists of 5 full‑time paediatric body interventional radiologists and 2 full‑time paediatric interventional neuroradiologists. The Division works collaboratively and closely with paediatricians, oncologists, surgeons, and other disciplines as part of the Centre of Image Guided Care. The Centre of Image Guided Care consists of 5 modern image‑guided suites, including three single‑plane and one bi‑plane angiography equipment, dedicated high‑resolution ultrasounds and a 3T Interventional/Intra‑operative MRI.

The candidate will provide paediatric interventional services to the Hospital and a high‑level quality of clinical care to patients. The candidate will participate fully in a cooperative way with other members of the Department and clinical staff of the Hospital as needed. The candidate will also provide on‑call services and be responsible for patient clinical rounds.

The successful candidate would be expected to actively participate in academic endeavours. The position provides an excellent opportunity for professional development, collaborative, and individual research with protected academic time.

The ideal candidate must have an MD or equivalent, be eligible for certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or an international equivalent, and have fellowship and clinical experience in body paediatric interventional radiology and interventional oncology. Additional experience with image‑guided tumour ablation techniques, musculoskeletal interventions, hepato‑biliary interventions in liver transplants, vascular anomalies, and MRI‑guided interventions is advantageous.

The candidate should be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). Experience as a staff paediatric interventional radiologist and a solid research background in paediatric interventional radiology is preferred. The candidate should be collaborative and an excellent inter‑ and intra‑disciplinary team player with high professional values. All candidates must be able to function proficiently in English.

Salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and qualifications and in the range of the uniform average salary of a radiologist (e.g. $  to $). The candidate will also have the option of purchasing health and dental insurance through the group practice plan. An additional incentive is provided for extended and on‑call hours of work related to complex interventional procedures that the candidate will have to be involved in.
