Architect (OAA Licensed-Eligible to be licensed in other provinces) – Residential Development
Employment Type: Full-Time

Reports To: Design Director
Position OverviewWe are seeking a licensed Architect (OAA) with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in residential development projects in Ontario. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical knowledge of Ontario Building Code (OBC), municipal approvals processes, and experience delivering multi-unit residential projects from concept through construction administration.
This role requires a collaborative professional capable of leading design coordination efforts while maintaining high technical standards and client responsiveness.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and contribute to the design and technical development of residential projects (mid-rise, high-rise, townhouses, mixed-use).
- Prepare and coordinate drawings for:
- Issued for Construction (IFC) documentation
- Ensure compliance with:
- Toronto Green Standard (TGS)
- Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA)
- Review shop drawings and submittals during construction.
- Respond to RFIs and issue site instructions.
- Attend site meetings and provide contract administration services.
- Support client presentations and stakeholder meetings as required.
- Contribute to quality assurance and internal technical standards.
- Licensed Architect and member in good standing with the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA).
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in residential development in Ontario.
- Strong working knowledge of:
- City of Toronto planning framework
- CMHC MLI Select requirements (an asset)
- Proficiency in Revit (required).
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple project timelines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with mid-rise and high-rise residential projects.
- Experience in Construction Administration (CA).
- Familiarity with sustainable design standards (TGS, LEED, Net Zero initiatives).
- Strong design sensibility balanced with technical precision.
