Senior Urban Planner (Contract | Full time/Part time)

RPD Studio is seeking a Senior Urban Planner to lead and manage large-scale urban and regional planning projects in coordination with municipalities. The role involves municipal comprehensive zoning by-law review, official plan review and collaboration with stakeholders and internal teams.

The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills and demonstrated experience in preparing and reviewing Comprehensive Zoning by-laws and Official Plans.

• Lead municipal planning and regional planning projects
• Conduct comprehensive zoning by-law and Official Plan reviews
• Prepare land-use planning reports and recommendations
• Coordinate with municipal staff, consultants, and stakeholders
• Facilitate public meetings and engagement processes
• Support project delivery from concept through approvals

• Prior experience in completing at least three (3) comprehensive municipal zoning by-law and Official Plan review projects
• Strong expertise in urban planning and public consultation processes
• Proven ability to develop and implement planning strategies
• Thorough knowledge of planning legislation, regulatory requirements, and zoning codes
• Strong project management, teamwork, and stakeholder coordination skills
• Professional designation or eligibility (e.g.,
  CIP, OPPI
  ) is an asset
