Intermediate Architect

Poiesis Architecture is a Toronto-based studio focused on carefully detailed residential and small commercial projects, with a strong emphasis on adaptive reuse and deep‑energy retrofits. Our work prioritizes clarity of architectural intent from early concept through construction.

We are seeking an Intermediate Architect to contribute to the design, documentation, and coordination of complex residential projects. This role is suited to a creative and technically strong individual who is organized, self‑directed, and comfortable working closely with the Principal in a small, design‑led studio.

• Lead preparation of zoning, schematic design, and design development drawing sets.
• Coordinate structural, mechanical, and other consultant inputs.
• Develop construction details with attention to sequencing and constructability.
• Assist with permit submissions, site meetings, RFIs, and shop drawings.

• Architect or Intern Architect with an M.Arch or related degree.
• 5+ years experience in an architectural office.
• Strong design and graphic communication skills.
• Experience with custom residential renovations and consultant coordination.
• Experience with high‑performance or deep‑energy retrofit projects an asset.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

$60,000–$75,000 annually, commensurate with experience and responsibility.

Queen & Dufferin, Toronto.

Hybrid:
In‑person three days per week (minimum). In‑person at least three days per week, with in‑studio collaboration expected at key project stages.
