Job Summary
The Architectural Lead will oversee and manage all architectural aspects of construction projects, ensuring that designs meet aesthetic, functional, and regulatory requirements.
The Architectural Lead will collaborate with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to develop and implement architectural designs that align with project goals, budgets, and timelines.
This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of building codes, materials, and sustainable design principles.
Responsibilities
Lead the architectural design process from design development to construction completion.
Oversee the preparation and review of architectural drawings, plans, specifications, and 3D models.
Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards.
Collaborate with structural, MEP, and civil engineers to integrate architectural designs seamlessly with other disciplines.
Work closely with client, contractors, and consultants to ensure that design intent and quality expectations are met.
Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, address design-related issues, and ensure compliance with architectural plans.
Evaluate materials, finishes, and construction techniques to achieve project objectives efficiently.
Lead design coordination meetings and provide technical guidance to architects and designers.
Implement sustainable design strategies, considering energy efficiency, environmental impact, and green building certifications.
Prepare and manage architectural budgets, schedules, and resource planning.
Oversee the revision and approval process for design modifications and change requests.
Ensure high-quality architectural documentation, including reports, design briefs, and presentations.
Desired Skills, Knowledge, Competencies
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture or a related field.
8+ years of experience in architectural design and construction, with leadership experience preferred.
Proficiency in architectural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, BIM tools.
Strong knowledge of building codes, construction materials, and architectural detailing.
Experience working on large-scale commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects.
Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
