Senior Designer

Ali Budd Interiors is a full-service design studio based in Toronto, with a global presence. We are looking for a Senior Designer / Team Lead to lead their own pod of projects inside our studio. The Senior Designer will take a lead role in overseeing design projects from conception to completion. Responsibilities furniture drawings, managing project timelines, collaborating with contractors and vendors, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional, bespoke designs. In addition, the Senior Designer will mentor junior design staff and work closely with clients to understand and execute their vision.

This is a design-first leadership role.

You will not be buried in procurement or purchasing.

You will:

• Lead a team of three designers
• Own multiple high-end residential projects
• Create and oversee mood boards, layouts, drawings, and renderings
• Be the primary creative lead for your clients
• Work directly with Ali and Design Director Shawna
• Travel for site visits, installs, and special projects across New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Miami, Puerto Rico, Ohio, and Antigua

This role is for someone who:

• Has 8+ years of residential design experience
• Has led teams or run major projects
• Has led design development for high-end residential and mixed-use projects
• Has produced and overseen construction documentation
• Has managed FF&E selections, specifications, and installations
• Is confident, decisive, and detail-driven
• Loves travel and being on site
• Wants more creative ownership and visibility
