We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual with a strong technical focus and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the development of technical documentation including construction specifications, to join our Toronto
office.
The ideal candidate should have well-rounded architectural experience, excellent verbal and written communication skills, very good organizational abilities, and the capacity to multitask effectively in a busy office environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesWork with project teams and external specification writers in the development of project specific project manualsResearch and document materials, products, and construction methodsDevelop detailed architectural specifications for projectsEnsure compliance with building codes and industry standardsCoordinate with various disciplines and integrate their requirementsAssist in preparing bid documents and review contractor bidsCommunicate with suppliers, manufacturers, and contractorsKeep specifications up to date with code changes and industry standardsIdentify and mitigate potential risks and issuesQualificationsDegree in Architecture, Architectural Technology or Architectural Engineering5 years’ experience in the development of technical documentation including construction specificationsDesignation as a Registered Specification Writer or Certified Specification Practitioner is an advantage
