Service Ontario - Customer Support Specialist
Staples Canada invites you to join our team as a customer support specialist. In this role you will be the primary point of contact for customers accessing Service Ontario services at our store locations.

Role Overview- Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction with accuracy and professionalism while processing inquiries both in person and online, verbally or written.
- Provide information and clarification on all requests, including types of services, fees, and eligibility.
- Interpret guidelines, directives, and procedures related to products, programs, and services.
- Effectively process transactions while ensuring eligibility criteria have been met and correct forms of tender are accepted.
- Assist in the de‑escalation and resolution of customer complaints, returns and exchanges, seeking leader assistance when required.
- Respond to customer inquiries related to questions within the store location and take opportunities to direct and assist customers in the total store experience.
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, resolving concerns diplomatically.
- Communicate effectively with customers through a variety of mediums.
- Plan, organize and prioritize tasks to serve customers efficiently.
- Maintain attention to detail to ensure accurate form completion.
- Use software such as Microsoft Office, database programs and the Internet to access and retrieve information, prepare correspondence and reports, and conduct research.
- Perform arithmetic calculations for fees, collect and balance monies, and give department closing reports and deposits.
- English/French bilingualism is an asset.
- Back‑check will be required.
- Minimum age of 18 years at the time of hire.
