Budget Camera provides professional cinema gear, exceptional customer service, and reliable support for productions of all sizes—from student films to commercial and broadcast projects.

We are looking for a Client Support Representative who is passionate about film production, customer service, and helping creatives bring their projects to life.

Role Overview

The Client Support Representative is the first point of contact for many of our clients. This role focuses on assisting customers with inquiries, guiding them through rentals, resolving issues, and ensuring a smooth, professional experience from inquiry to gear return. This is an ideal role for someone with strong communication skills, basic technical knowledge of film equipment, and a desire to grow within the film and media industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer incoming phone calls, emails, and in-store inquiries professionally and promptly.
  • Assist clients with gear recommendations based on project needs and budget.
  • Explain rental policies, pricing, availability, and insurance requirements.
  • Provide clear guidance to first‑time renters, students, and professionals.
  • Create, update, and manage rental orders in the system.
  • Coordinate pickups, returns, extensions, and last‑minute changes.
  • Ensure accurate documentation for rentals, payments, and deposits.
  • Communicate with internal teams to ensure gear readiness.
  • Troubleshoot basic client issues related to bookings or equipment.
  • Handle customer concerns calmly and professionally.
  • Escalate technical or operational issues when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and welcoming front‑desk environment.
  • Assist with basic administrative tasks as needed.
  • Support the team during busy rental periods.
Required Qualifications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic understanding of film production workflows and equipment (cameras, lenses, audio, lighting).
  • Comfortable using computers, email, and booking or inventory systems.
  • Reliable, organized, and detail‑oriented.
Preferred / Optional
  • Film, media, or photography education or experience.
  • Familiarity with Sony, Canon, RED, or ARRI camera systems.
  • Prior experience in a rental house, production, or customer support environment.
Compensation & Schedule
  • Salary: $20,000 – $35,000 annually (pro‑rated for part‑time hours).
  • Employment Type:
