Copywriter position

As a Copywriter you will collaborate closely with creative partners, client services, and project management teams to develop high‑quality, impactful solutions for our clients across a variety of media channels. This role focuses on generating ideas, shaping visual direction, and bringing concepts to life in ways that resonate with diverse audiences. You are curious, collaborative, and continually expanding your knowledge of art, design, and integrated creative experiences.

You approach work holistically, considering how ideas visually and strategically come to life throughout the full consumer journey. You will bring creative thinking from ideation through execution, centering Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to support meaningful, culturally aware work for dentsu and our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborates with an Art Director partner to execute creative concepts under the guidance of the Creative Director.
  • Contributes original thinking and helps shape big, culturally aware ideas.
  • Ensures all written communication reflects the brand’s tone, voice, and strategic positioning.
  • Delivers innovative and high‑quality work that meets strategic goals, client expectations, and inclusive storytelling standards.
  • Organizes, prioritizes, and manages multiple projects and collaborative teams in a deadline‑driven environment.
  • Communicates ideas clearly—on brand, on message, and tailored to the intended audience.
  • Presents ideas to internal teams and, when needed, to clients with clarity, structure, and an inclusive communication style.
  • Understands and consistently applies brand guidelines, continuity standards, and positioning.
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud and other relevant creative tools.
  • Updates and refines copy decks, scripts, and written assets with attention to detail and inclusivity.
  • Contributes writing and conceptual thinking to new business pitches.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities to elevate creative quality and storytelling, with support from senior team members and directors.
  • Use and engage with emerging AI tools to enhance creative development, visual exploration, and workflow efficiency in an ethical and inclusive way.
  • Continue learning and building AI creative craft, experimenting with new technologies to support innovative and responsible creative solutions.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in copywriting or a similar creative role.
  • Experience contributing to work that reflects cultural awareness, inclusive communication, and diverse perspectives.
  • Strong conceptual thinking and experience working on integrated advertising campaigns.
  • Ability to turn creativity, insights, emerging technologies, and strategic thinking into compelling written solutions.
  • Proven writing craftsmanship across a variety of media and formats.
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within diverse, cross‑functional teams.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with comfort presenting ideas to groups in an inclusive and engaging way.
