Summer Event Coordinator (Full Time)

Each year, GWN produces more than 30 sporting events across North America including watersports and running. Beyond producing our own award‑winning events, GWN offers start‑to‑finish event management services and corporate team‑building experiences.
The core responsibility of this position is to work with senior leaders and our clients to ensure the smooth delivery of our events. This will include logistical planning and implementation, budgeting, managing stakeholder relationships, coordination of human resources, and marketing. Opportunity for the position to continue on until September/October.
This role is perfect for those that love running events and the challenge of driving awareness and interest.

Key Responsibilities:- Play an integral role in the logistical planning and execution of events including but not limited to: source and secure event suppliers, staff, and volunteers, coordinate staff travel arrangements
- Develop strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and venues
- Collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, volunteers, and corporate partners to ensure seamless event execution
- Assist with general business support and other duties as required
- Assist with preparing outbound shipments, event kits (i.e. team packets, safety equipment, registration materials), and load trucks for event deployments.
- On‑Site Event Support:
- Assist with loading/unloading event equipment at event locations
- Support the event logistics team in set‑up and tear‑down on‑site at events, including but not limited to tents, signage, flags, marshalling area, registration, and other event set‑up tasks as needed
- Provide on‑site support, troubleshooting during the event
- Passion for sports/events/operations
- Passion for the vision, entrepreneurship, partnerships and accountability
- Demonstrated strength in project management
- Demonstrated understanding of event management
- Community and/or sport related event experience
- Results‑oriented, able to set priorities and deliver consistently to a high professional standard
- Effective organizational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent decision‑making skills with the ability to make recommendations and to use good judgment in assessing difficult situations
- Ability to work effectively and calmly under pressure/stressful conditions and to meet multiple and competing deadlines
- Manages people and financial resources effectively and efficiently
- Exercises initiative and good judgment with ability to multi‑task
- Strong analytical, evaluation and assessment skills
- Flexible and adaptive in a changing work environment
- Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs.
- Must have a “G” class driver’s license
