Freelance Animator

Overview

Our global agency client is building a roster of freelance Animators who can support a wide mix of brand work across tech, financial services, travel, insurance, retail, and more. This is a chance to plug into high-visibility creative projects and bring motion to campaigns seen worldwide.

The rate range is $50-60 per hour CAD.

This role is ideal for a 2D Animator with strong desgn instincts, a polished motion craft, and the ability to translate concepts into dynamic, engaging animation. You ll collaborate with creative teams to develop motion assets that elevate storytelling across a range of deliverables.

• Create high quality 2D animations, motion graphics, and character or illustrative movement
• Translate storyboards, scripts, and static designs into compelling motion
• Support integrated campaigns across digital, social, OOH, broadcast, and product marketing
• Work closely with art directors, copywriters, and designers to ensure cohesive execution
• Adapt animation styles to fit different brands and industries

• Strong portfolio showcasing 2D animation expertise and refined motion design
• Experience working with major brands or large scale campaigns
• Proficiency in industry standard tools (After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
• Ability to work quickly, collaboratively, and with a high level of craft
• Versatility across styles, illustrative, typographic, graphic, character-driven, and more
