Insight Global is looking for an experienced Studio AV professional to support a high‑visibility broadcast and production environment at one of Canada's largest banks. This individual will lead day‑to‑day studio operations, support live and recorded productions, and provide expert guidance across audio, video, and virtual event workflows. This role is ideal for someone with strong live production skills, excellent communication, and the ability to deliver broadcast‑quality outputs under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Lead studio AV operations for live broadcasts, podcasts, virtual events, and internal video productions.
- Operate live video switchers, executing real‑time transitions, graphics, cues, and visual routing.
- Provide technical guidance, support, and mentorship to AV technicians.
- Maintain quality control for all audio and video outputs, ensuring broadcast‑level standards.
- Troubleshoot studio and control room equipment; coordinate with building AV teams to resolve issues.
- Support both live and recorded events across platforms including BNN, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom.
- Serve as a technical lead during executive‑facing broadcasts and high‑profile productions.
- Recommend best practices to enhance AV workflows, production efficiency, and content quality.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Broadcast, and AV leadership teams.
Must‑Have Qualifications
- Hands‑on experience operating live video switchers for multi‑camera broadcasts.
- Strong proficiency with audio mixing consoles, studio lighting, cameras, and full control room workflows.
- Experience supporting virtual and hybrid productions (Zoom, Microsoft Teams) with in‑the‑moment troubleshooting.
- Strong AV/IT knowledge, including signal flow and hardware/software integration.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining broadcast‑quality standards.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in executive‑facing environments.
Nice to Have
- Video editing and post‑production experience (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro).
- Photography skills for events and social media content.
- Event planning or coordination experience.
- Experience in training or mentoring junior staff.
