Social Copywriter at The Kitchen North America – an in‑house agency leading creative marketing for the Kraft Heinz brand. The team is based in Toronto and Chicago, but this hybrid role is based in Toronto.

Role OverviewAs a Social Copywriter you will be part of an agile social team constantly sourcing inspiration from culture, the internet, and the world to create breakthrough social content. You are the voice of the brands online and will shape their personalities day‑to‑day through the words and ideas that you write for social and digital channels.
Core Responsibilities- Write social and digital copy, ranging from humor to inspiration, to build consumer love for the brand and create cultural relevance.
- Craft, edit, and publish engaging posts for various social networks.
- Optimize social media posts for language, tone, and message based on audience behavior and brand voice.
- Collaborate with a content creator on images and videos to deliver a cohesive story across post types.
- Manage and update social media profiles with on‑tone descriptions and news.
- Coordinate with internal teams to develop advertising concepts.
- Respond to questions and comments on social media pages and, when necessary, transfer issues to the social care or escalations team for customer service.
- 1+ years of experience in a social or creative department in a related role.
- Advertising portfolio required.
- Proven track record of writing for brands with a significant following, ideally for a CPG or lifestyle brand.
- Diploma in marketing, advertising, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with creative teams and strategists, providing expertise and influencing brand strategy.
- Deep understanding of social culture and trends.
- Experience with a social media management platform (e.g. Sprout, Sprinklr, Khoros).
- Excellent presentation and communication skills in a group setting.
- Passion for food and food marketing.
- Desire to do award‑winning, internationally recognized work.
